JOB FUNCTION:

By establishing trusting relationships with Auduzhe’s primary care patients from the FNIM community, the Social Worker at Auduzhe provides culturally safe care to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis community members in Toronto.
They are expected to work independently and as part of the Auduzhe’s primary care team while supporting clients who present with a range of complex needs such as mental health, addiction, and psychosocial issues to advocate for clients and assist in systems navigation including legal, medical and financial assistance, housing, education & employment, health & well-being, transportation, and other services.

Medical Secretary

Family Physician

JOB FUNCTION:

Auduzhe is seeking a part-time Family Physician to join our Indigenous-led interdisciplinary primary health care team. The successful candidate will have experience working with First Nations, Inuit and Métis (FNIM) communities and a demonstrated commitment to providing culturally safe, trauma-informed, and wholistic care, relational primary care. This role supports individuals, families, and communities with complex mental health and wellness needs, within a collaborative, community-based
primary care setting.
This role is primarily focused on supporting First Nations, Inuit and Métis (FNIM) community members, including individuals who are vulnerable, structurally marginalized, and/or experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive practice, and an understanding of the impacts of colonialism, intergenerational trauma, and social determinants of health.

Chiropodist

JOB FUNCTION:

The Chiropodist position is intended to support the team at Auduzhe Mino Nesewinong in creating a welcoming and culturally safe space for Indigenous clients. The main functions of the chiropodist are to provide direct care to clients to recognize and treat pathologies in the foot area, which diminish the health, mobility, comfort and independence of clients. In addition, the chiropodist will provide health teaching, advocacy and health promotion services for clients, as well as consultation to nurses providing foot care services.
